Excursions in South Sinai |

The Sinai Peninsula is the geophysical divide between Asia and Africa, and the
eastern gate to Egypt.
South Sinai attracts many kinds of travelers, as there are so many points of
interest in the area, whether from a cultural, historical or sports point of
view.
It is also a paradise for nature lovers, and a place where you can see
undreamed-of beauty in the landscape.
Nature Travel offers various excursions in South Sinai, some examples of which
are listed here:
Coloured Canyon
9 am pickup from your hotel, after breakfast. Drive to the Coloured Canyon
through Wadi Watir and then drive off-road for about 30 minutes until you reach
the magnificent area of the lime and sandstone plateau.
The walk through the Couloured Canyon takes about 90 minutes, with plenty of
time to take pictures.
There is lunch on the way back before returning to your hotel. (Total time;
about 5 hours).
White Canyon and Ain Hudra
9 am pickup from your hotel, after breakfast. Drive in the direction of St.
Catherine.
Before we drive offroad into the sandiest wadi of South Sinai, we will walk to
the observation point with an ibcredible view over the whole wadi and the
exciting sandstone erosions. Offroad drive to the beautiful lush oasis of Ain
Hudra, the biblical Hazeroth.
Walk through a Bedouin-cultivated palm garden and meet the Bedouin women. Have
lunch before you walk throught he thrilling White Canyon for the next 2 hours.
Back to the hotel in the afternoon.
Ras Abu Galoum Nature Protectorate
9 am pickup from your hotel after breakfast, drive past Nuweiba up to Ras
Saada.
On the way, visit the Bedouin settlement Bir Zrair, walk through the gardens
and have tea. Continue via Ras Saada to Ras Abou Galoum.
Enjoy a swim in this beautiful bay with excellent coral reefs.
Eat a delicious lunch of fresh fish, from the catch of the day. Walk for 2
hours along the cliffs to the Blue Hole. Do some shopping in Dahab before you
return to your hotel. Full day tour.
St. Catherine
9 am pickup from your hotel after breakfast. Drive to St. Catherine, which is
situated at an altitude of 1599m. above sea level.
Visit the 6th century monastery and have a walk around the settlement of St.
Catherine. Optional: Climb of Mount Moses after visiting the monastery (5
hours).
